The CPT penetrometer rig can also be used for the placing of piezometer standpipes (also callo piezometer filter tubes). Despite the fact that these standpipes are also available in lengths of just one metre, some prefer to place standpipes elements measuring 2 metre each. In that case it is compulsory to have a small hatch in the roof of the bellows providing the needed space for placing those standpipes.
